Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher admits he doesn't understand why Frank Lampard chose to join Manchester City this season. Carragher wrote in the Daily Mail: "Why did he do it? Was it really worth the aggravation for the sake of one more year?
"The more I look at Frank Lampard in a Manchester City shirt, the more I ask myself those questions. I find the situation strange - uncomfortable almost - and I don't think I would be alone. I'm pretty sure plenty of Chelsea supporters will have had similar thoughts about their club's greatest player, too.
"Why did he sign for them?
"When Lampard brought his glorious 13-year career at Stamford Bridge to a close last May, after winning 13 major trophies and becoming their all-time leading scorer, nobody would have envisaged him returning 'home' with a chance of blowing a hole in Chelsea's title ambitions."
