Liverpool legend Carragher helps England U17 beat Germany

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has been helping with the coaching of the U17 England squad.

The 37-year-old attended Steve Cooper's U17s squad's training sessions at St George's Park this week before heading to Rotherham on Friday night to watch their match against Germany, says the Daily Mail.

Carragher's presence was seemingly beneficial, as the Young Lions ran out 2-1 winners at the New York Stadium, with goals from Mason Mount and Niall Ennis.

Carragher sat with Cooper - who joined the FA from Liverpool's academy, initially assuming the post of FA Youth Coach Educator in 2013 - in the dugout for the U17s' game, which was broadcast live on BT Sport.
