Liverpool legend John Barnes hasn't been convinced by the work of manager Brendan Rodgers this season.
Barnes, 49, reckons the ex-Swansea manager must make a bigger impact on Merseyside next season.
Barnes told the Daily Star Sunday: "Next season I will be expecting more from the manager and from Liverpool.
"It's great when you make a change and things go well from the start. But if it doesn't, then you've got to give it time and support the project.
"If you want the club to do well you have to support the manager. In all honesty, it would have been great if Brendan Rodgers had come in during the summer and then managed to turn things around straight away.
"But I didn't expect him to and, at the time, I urged fans not to put too much pressure on him.
"You've got to remember that when a new manager comes in, things change and it can take time."
