Liverpool legend John Aldridge is looking forward to seeing Virgil van Dijk in action this weekend.
The Reds target will line up for Southampton at Anfield.
Aldridge wrote for the Liverpool Echo: "Liverpool might be facing Southampton, but a lot of the focus will fall on you-know-who.
"Look, it's going to be a difficult afternoon for Virgil van Dijk. He's professional and he has to do his job for his current team, but it's a strange situation. We're desperate for him, he's desperate for us, everyone knows it.
"So it's going to be tough psychologically on the lad and we'll see exactly what he's made of.
"He has to be, and he will be, a true professional. Hopefully he even has a good game for them – providing we still win comfortably. A few goals for us and a mistake or two from his centre-back partner would do me just fine.
"I remember playing for Oxford at Anfield and the Kop sung my name. It meant the absolute world to me. We got beat 6-0, mind you!"
