John Aldridge says Rickie Lambert's move from Southampton to Liverpool is a "football miracle". Aldo wrote in the Sunday World: "Here is a lad from Kirkby in Merseyside who is coming home for the final few years of a career. It's a rags to riches tale that has taken him to the World Cup Finals and into the Champions League with Liverpool.
"Football miracles do not come much bigger than the one carved out by Rickie Lambert in the last few years.
"He successfully completed his medical yesterday and I wish him all the best as he attempts to become a hero of the Anfield faithful next season."
