Liverpool legend John Aldridge says Jurgen Klopp's team must be ruthless at Watford next Monday.

After defeat to Crystal Palace, Aldridge wrote for the Liverpool Echo: "What we must do, though, is become more thick-skinned, more pigheaded and more ruthless.

"If we get the lead, we have to defend it. Against Palace we were guilty before the break of going for a second goal, when we should really have been controlling the game better.

"We have to start going about our business in the right way. If we get in front at Vicarage Road next week, we just have to see it out.

"Defeat there could make it extremely difficult to finish in the top four."
