Liverpool legend John Aldridge says Brendan Rodgers' defence needs an in-form Simon Mignolet behind them.
Before last night's 4-0 derby win over Everton, Aldridge wrote in the Sunday World: "Glen Johnson and Jose Enrique are out for some time, Daniel Agger has been absent and keeper Simon Mignolet has not looked the same since his mistake at Manchester City resulted in a defeat for Liverpool last month.
"In my eyes, one of the reasons for the uncertainty in the Reds backline is stemming from their goalkeeper's dip in confidence, because defenders tend to perform with more confidence and clarity when they know they have a stopper behind them who will do the business. Mignolet, at this moment, is not inspiring them with confidence."
