Liverpool legend John Aldridge believes Mario Balotelli is not a natural centre-forward.
Aldridge wrote in the Liverpool Echo: "He is too flat-footed. He was just walking around the pitch. He doesn't look right.
"For me, he can't lead the line.
"It is just not in his make-up to work the centre-halves, hold the ball up and start bringing others into play.
"Balotelli is better in the hole behind the striker, in that position where he can make things happen.
"Being the leading striker is not natural to him."
