Liverpool legend John Aldridge expects Arsenal to miss out of the top four this season.
Aldridge wrote for the Sunday World: "... I suspect this will also be the season when Arsene Wenger's great run of qualifying Arsenal for the Champions League will come to an end.
"Some people felt sorry for him as Arsenal were hammered 5-1 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League earlier this month, but I didn't.
"Wenger is a multi-millionaire, he has had a great run at Arsenal and nothing lasts forever.
"Now he needs to step aside and let some new ideas come into the club and when the current criticism fades, he should be remembered for the great things he did in English football and not the last few years when success has been hard to come by."
