Liverpool legend John Aldridge is gutted for Fabio Borini over his shoulder injury.

Aldo wrote in the Liverpool Echo: "It's been a nightmare first year for him at Anfield. He struggled to get going in the early months of the season and then broke his foot.

"Having worked hard to get fit, he's now back on the sidelines.

"Borini needs to get his head down and ensure that he comes back strong next season and shows why Brendan Rodgers was prepared to spend so much money to bring him to Anfield."
