Liverpool legend John Aldridge feels Brendan Rodgers' methods will be embraced at Anfield.
Aldridge believes the departing Swansea City manager's style will be appreciated by players and fans alike at Anfield and represents a return to the club's core footballing values.
"He's done absolutely fantastic at Swansea," Aldridge said.
"Some people will say that his lack of experience will go against him but you have to start somewhere in your football life and this could be his time.
"Sometimes a fresh face and a different direction can work.
"I was brought up watching Liverpool play football [like Swansea]. When I joined Liverpool, that's what you did: pass and move.
"All you did was pass the ball and not give it away - unfortunately over the last 10 years or so, we've given the ball away far too cheaply.
"I think [Rodgers] and Swansea were a breath of fresh air last year and if he can bring that to Liverpool and win a lot of games percentage-wise and bring top European football to the table he'll be a king around the place."
