Liverpool legend John Aldridge was unimpressed by David Moyes' Manchester United on Sunday.
Aldo wrote in the Liverpool Echo: "I actually thought Sunday was probably our worst passing performance under Brendan Rodgers. We didn't keep the ball hardly at all in the second half.
"But the fact that we didn't play well and still beat United made it all the sweeter.
"Under Alex Ferguson, you knew you would have to play at your best to beat United. That's not the case anymore.
"What really pleased me was how hard the players worked for each other. You can see that the team spirit is strong.
"It was a big result for the club. Last season people kept on saying about how we hadn't beaten any of the top teams.
"We have put that one to bed and that result should breed a lot of confidence."
