Liverpool lean on Mendes to join Wolves in battle for PSG striker Guedes

Liverpool have asked PSG about a price for Goncalo Guedes.

L'Equipe says Liverpool, Wolves and Valencia are all interested in signing PSG attacker Guedes.

Guedes spent the entirety of last season on loan at Valencia, where he made 33 appearances, and apparently has an “oral agreement" to join the Spanish club this summer.

Those talks have now stalled, however, and with PSG's Financial Fair Play concerns, a fee in the region of £30m could be enough to secure the 21-year-old.

Wolves could be in pole position for his signing, however, with Guedes being represented by Jorge Mendes - the super agent with close ties to thew newly-promoted club.

But Liverpool are also growing closer to Mendes, with the Portuguese having an influence on their swoop for AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho last week.
