Rennes midfielder Benjamin Andre is attracting interest from Liverpool.
Le Telegramme says Andre is seen at Liverpool as a replacement for Lucas Leiva, now of Lazio.
Liverpool have extensively scouted 26-year-old Andre.
The club are keen to get a deal done before the start of the season and are ready to submit a formal bid.
An English source says a £15.4million bid from Liverpool is forthcoming.
