Liverpool launching £6M bid for Birmingham keeper Butland

Liverpool are launching a £6 million bid for Birmingham City goalkeeper Jack Butland.

The Sun says Brum are ready to flog keeper Butland to Liverpool for £6million next month.

Cash-strapped Blues rejected a similar bid from Southampton for the England star last summer, but funds are now needed to avoid sliding into administration.

Chairman Peter Pannu admitted "There are talks with Liverpool and Everton might also be interested."
