Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is ready to bid for FC Basel winger Mohamed Salah.
The Daily Star says Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas sent scouts to watch the winger in action for the Swiss side during their Champions League clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
But Tottenham have now been joined by several big teams around Europe for the 21-year-old including the Reds who have been impressed by his recent performances.
Salah, who is thought to be valued around £15m, is now emerging as a top target for Liverpool manager Rodgers ahead of the January market.
