Liverpool have signed youth star Elijah Dixon-Bonner from Arsenal after he turned down a contract at the Emirates Stadium.

The 16-year-old was offered a scholarship to remain with the Gunners but the midfielder has now signed for the Merseysiders instead.

Dixon-Bonner announced the news via Instagram which will come as a blow to Arsenal following his impressive exploits at youth level last season.

Arsenal are likely to receive nominal compensation for the teen.
