Liverpool youngster Jay Spearing has been named Player of the Tournament at the annual Torneo di Renate in Milan.
Spearing, who has just been promoted to Melwood after captaining the Youth Cup winning side, excelled in midfield against the likes of Torino, AC Milan and Renate before the Reds were knocked out by Parma on penalties.
The tournament is for under-20s, with Gary Ablett and Hughie McAuley taking a mixture of reserves and Academy starlets.
Inter were the eventual winners, while Liverpool once again beat Renate 3-0 to finish third.
