Gary Peters has challenged on-loan Liverpool youngster Jimmy Ryan to keep Rafa Benitez interested in Shrewsbury.

Ryan, 19, has been farmed out to the League Two club by Anfield boss Benitez in a bid to boost his first-team experience.

Peters said: "Ryan has initially got a month-long loan and Liverpool are very pleased that he is here.

"We send them DVD's of our games and they have already commented and sent us a letter on how professional we are with the work that Jimmy is getting here.

"We will now have to see over the next couple of weeks what will happen in the long-term."
