Liverpool youngster Alex Cooper is keen for Rangers defender Danny Wilson to make the move to Anfield.

Merseyside sources insist a move to Liverpool is still on for the 18 year-old centre-half.

Reds youngster Cooper said of his fellow Scot: "I rate Danny very highly and think he'd do well at Liverpool.

"It won't surprise me if he comes and starts challenging for a place in the first team."

Cooper joined Liverpool from Ross County two and a half years ago.
