Liverpool keeper Reina has hernia operation

Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has had surgery on a double hernia.

The 28-year old Spaniard underwent the operation in Munich this morning but is expected to be fit and available for summer training which kicks off next month.

Reina, who has played every Premier League game over the past four years, will have the next week or so to recover and will then join his Reds teammates for pre-season training.
