Liverpool keeper Mignolet enjoying fine start to new season

Simon Mignolet feels Liverpool can really capitalise on a strong start to the season with another good result this coming weekend.

The Reds drew 0-0 with Arsenal at the Emirates on Monday night which has them sitting third on the table on seven points after two 1-0 wins.

While they may have only scored twice thus far, Mignolet felt that the impressive defensive performances show the team is operating at a high standard which needs to be continued when they host West Ham United on Saturday.

"When you come away to the Emirates, you know it's going to be tough. We fought well, created some chances and could have won the game," said the Belgian gloveman.

"Everyone is pleased with the performance and again we kept a clean sheet, so we go forwards.

"We have a home game next week before the international break, so if we win that, we'll have had a great start to the season."
