Liverpool signing Loris Karius is happy to have taken the No1 shirt.

The former Mainz goalkeeper sealed a £4.7m move to Anfield last week and was handed the No. 1 shirt.

But while Simon Mignolet remains Jurgen Klopp's first choice for the moment, Karius is confident of displacing him.

“I wanted the no.1 shirt because I was wearing it at Mainz – and I want to be the no.1 here at Liverpool," Karius said.
