Liverpool keeper Karius: I always stay focused, apart from...

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius made a rather comfortable Premier League debut for his new club in the 5-1 win over ten-man Hull City on Saturday.

However, the German keeper insists that despite the dominance of the Reds, he was always focused during the game and only took a mental break when his teammates scored at Anfield.

"I had games like this before but I will probably have them more here," he said.

"I hope it is like this as that means we are playing really well but as a goalkeeper you have to stay in the game because it goes really fast and you only need one shot on goal.

"It doesn't really change much whether you have a lot to do or not much. When we score a nice goal I am happy for the other guys and then I am a fan but the only time I can really have a break is when we score or when there is an injury break, otherwise you are focused."
