Liverpool goalkeeper coach John Achterberg says Simon Mignolet deserves to be Belgium's No1.
Mignolet faces a battle with Atletico Madrid's on-loan Chelsea stopper Thibaut Courtois to be first choice for Marc Wilmot's side.
"I think he is definitely in with a shout to be the No.1 for Belgium, but it's a hard battle he has to fight really," Achterberg told Liverpoolfc.com.
"I do think Simon should have a fair chance to become the No.1 because if they want to have a chance to win something, he would be a good addition to their team.
"First of all they need to give him a fair chance. He is proving here week-in, week-out he that he is definitely up there with the best, so it's up to the Belgium manager to give him that chance."
