Liverpool goalkeeper coach John Achterberg was delighted to return home to Utrecht last night.
The 39-year-old was born in Utrecht and, just like Dirk Kuyt, began his professional career at the city's football club.
"It was a nice draw for me because you always like to come back to a former club. I had a good time in the past here," he told LFC TV.
"I was a No.2 goalkeeper but the goalkeeper was never injured so I only played friendlies really. I started with the U18s on a YTS. This is where I got into the professional game.
"My family and everyone is from Utrecht, so there'll be a few at the stadium and a few watching on TV.
"You can call it a dream come true but on the other side of it, I'm just trying to do my job as best I can. That's all I'm thinking about really.
"I was a Utrecht fan when I was younger because I was born here. I was watching Utrecht before I even started playing football."
