Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is happy for the deadline to pass today without a new goalkeeper signing. Rodgers does want to add to his keepers' pool, but won't be moving for a deal today.
The Reds boss has his eyes on free agent Victor Valdes, who is recovering from knee surgery and available after coming off contract from Barcelona.
Valdes had a pre-contract with AS Monaco signed last season, but the French giants pulled out of the deal after he failed a medical in July.
The goalkeeper's camp insists he'll be ready for full training in October and Rodgers has been in regular contact over recent weeks.
Valdes is expected to arrive at Liverpool post deadline today and aim to register him for the Champions League.
