Liverpool hope to open new contract talks with Luis Suarez. The Telegraph says Liverpool want to open contract talks with Suárez at the earliest opportunity in an effort to secure the striker's long-term future.
Suárez has 2½ years remaining of his deal, but Liverpool are well aware the 26-year-old will be highly coveted again this summer.
The club are willing to make Suárez the highest paid player in their history in an effort to avoid a repeat of last summer's speculation and will invite his agent Pere Guardiola into negotiations.
