Liverpool have joined the battle for Sporting CP midfielder William Carvalho.
The Sunday Express says the Reds have entered the £37m race to sign Carvalho in January.
The defensive midfielder was constantly linked with a move to Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United during the summer, but a bid failed to materialise.
The Premier League trio are expected to renew their interest in January, but will now have Liverpool to contend with too.
