Liverpool are intensifying their pursuit of Burnley striker Danny Ings.
The People says Ings, player of the year in the Championship last season, has plenty of admirers, with Manchester United, Spurs and Newcastle all interested, along with Real Sociedad.
But it is Liverpool who have stepped up their interest and now head the list of suitors. And with Sterling stalling on his Anfield future the arrival of Ings is seen as a priority.
Although he is available on a free transfer at the end of June, Ings would cost Premier League clubs around £5million in compensation payments under Fifa rules.
