Liverpool are intensifying their interest in Lazio sensation Keita Balde Diao.

Sky Italia says Liverpool are keeping an eye on Keita who fell out with Barcelona over a youth team prank before moving to Lazio, says the Daily Express.

The Anfield outfit had the Spanish-born player watched in Lazio's 1-0 victory over Legia Warsaw in the Europa League last Thursday.

Keita has a contract with Lazio until June 2017, but given that the youngster only cost the club £250,000 two seasons ago, it is thought that the Rome club would not demand an astronomical fee for the player.
