Liverpool icon Jan Molby says new manager Roy Hodgson is arriving at the height of his powers.
Molby feels such experience will be of great benefit to Liverpool as Hodgson attempts to steer the club back into the Champions League.
"I think he's a good appointment. I like Roy Hodgson as a manager and he knows what it takes," he told Liverpoolfc.tv.
"He doesn't have an ego and things won't be about him. - it will all be about the club and the players.
"He has proved he has an ability to get the best out of the players he has and also to get the best out of the transfer budget that will be available to him.
"His experience will benefit us greatly. What he has had to do throughout his career is prove himself. He had to go somewhere to find a job when he was a younger man, which was in Sweden, and he's had to harp himself around until he finally got recognised."
