Steven Gerrard attempted to deflect the attention from himself at Liverpool's end-of-season awards night on Tuesday.
The Reds captain received the Outstanding Achievement Award as he gets set to end a fabulous career with the Anfield club.
However, Gerrard was not in the mood to speak about himself after attracting plenty of focus in recent weeks and preferred to place the spotlight on Philippe Coutinho who took home the Player of the Year award among three other trophies.
"I have been fortunate to play with some great footballers. I am bored about speaking about myself and I want to play tribute to Philippe tonight," said Gerrard.
"This is his night. He cleaned up on all the awards and deservedly so. He is the next big thing for me. I hope he stays here for a long time.
"I have run out of words, I am speaking too much lately."
