Liverpool are expecting big things from England youth international striker Nathan Ecclestone.

Reds U18 boss Hughie McAuley told the club's website: "Nathan is an exciting player with a lot of potential. He can take defenders on and is good on the ball. He can score goals. He has featured for the reserves in pre-season and has done well.

"When he plays for the Under-18 team he needs to be the best player every week and he knows that. He has still got a lot to learn about the game but he is hungry and he wants to do well."
