Liverpool are one step closer to signing Alberto Moreno from Sevilla according to reports.
It is believed that the Reds are closing in on an £18million transfer of the 21-year old left-back after Tottenham played down suggestions they were set to make a move for him.
The Express is of the belief that Spurs were hoping to send Roberto Soldado and Etienne Capoue to Sevilla on loan in order to land Moreno but that speculation has been put to bed.
Tottenham's non-pursuit of the highly-rated defender has now opened the door for Liverpool who are prepared to meet the Sevillistas' valuation.
