Liverpool hero Jan Molby insists Daniel Sturridge can still rediscover his very best form.

Writing for the Liverpool Echo, Molby said: "There was a real sense of frustration after the Newcastle game – yet again – and Daniel Sturridge looked a bit off so afterwards people were questioning his attitude.

"Please believe me, every footballer wants to play but he's finding it very difficult to hit the heights of a couple of years ago.

"Apparently he's training every day so that's good in itself but now he needs to find his 'match legs'.

"He looked off the pace but he'll know that himself and will be as frustrated as the fans.

"There is no magic button you can press to find your form, Daniel needs to keep showing patience and working.

"I think he can still be a major force."
