Liverpool hero Ray Houghton has defended Kenny Dalglish over his approach to members of the media.
Houghton reckons he acts in a hostile matter because reporters are deliberately trying to rile him.
"I think there have been a lot of media against Kenny, personally," he told talkSPORT. "I think they're going in there to antagonise him at times. He [doesn't help himself] because he's that type of character, he's someone that's not going to hide.
"Most managers are [hostile to the media] and they throw their toys out of the pram. I think the Suarez situation, caused problems and maybe Liverpool didn't handle it as well as they could have done and maybe in retrospect they would have done things differently."
