Liverpool hero John Barnes backs the club over pulling out of a deal for Lyon captain Nabil Fekir.
Fekir was on the brink of joining Liverpool from Lyon for £53m last weekend but the deal collapsed due to concerns over his medical.
Barnes told the Daily Star: “If they feel that there is a medical issue then they shouldn't [sign him].
“Liverpool have to do what they think is right and Jurgen Klopp has to make those decisions.
“Obviously, we trust Jurgen Klopp and the choices he makes so if Jurgen Klopp decides not to sign him then we shouldn't no.
“If he decides to sign him with his slight injury but it's not an injury that's going to stop him playing and we feel it's worth it then I'll back him."
