Liverpool are watching Rosenborg starlet Olaus Jair Skarsem.

Norwegian media sources say Liverpool are monitoring the 19-year-old midfielder.

Skarsem is currently playing in the Rosenborg 2 squad, although he made his debut in 2016 and and is regarded as one for the future.

Former Reds defender Stig Inge Bjornebye is sporting director at the Norwegian giants.

Liverpool have been active in the Norwegian transfer market over the last 18 months, with Edvard Tagseth joining the academy last year.
