Raheem Sterling is on the brink of a bumper new contract with Liverpool. The Mirror says Real Madrid are already on red alert after Sterling's impressive form and performances for Liverpool during their run-in last season.
The 19-year-old also enhanced his reputation at the World Cup despite England's disappointing campaign.
Sterling signed a £30,000-a-week deal just over 18 months ago and that expires in 2017 but the club want to reward him - and he can even expect to quadruple his wage.
