Liverpool are grooming Andy Carroll to become their new media star.
The People says the latest stage of his transformation from boozy Geordie bad boy to Kop idol is special training ... on his interview technique.
The Liverpool striker is brushing up on his talking off the pitch, at the request of boss Kenny Dalglish.
A source close to Carroll said: "Andy and Kenny have really hit it off. I suppose it goes back to the time when Kenny took Andy to the Boyzone concert not long after he joined Liverpool from Newcastle.
"Liverpool know they have somebody special in Andy and they will explore every avenue to make sure they get the best out of him, both on and off the field.
"That's why they have been giving him a bit of media coaching.
"Andy is happy to go along with this because he knows that the set-up at Liverpool will not only make him a better player, but also a better person."
