Alberto Moreno was slammed by a pair of former Liverpool stars for his performance in Wednesday night's Europa League final.
The Spanish left-back was at fault for Sevilla's opening goal in Basel when his misdirected header and poor tackle on Mariano Ferreira led to Kevin Gameiro's equaliser early in the second half.
Moreno, who joined the Reds from Sevilla in 2014, was caught out of position on a number of occasions throughout the 3-1 defeat to his former club in a subpar display which prompted critique from Kop heroes Michael Owen and Steve McManaman.
Owen told BT Sport: "Moreno cost Liverpool tonight, definitely.
"It's a bad header to start with, then he comes flying in when the situation is under control."
Before McManaman added: "He just went wandering at times, he wants to go forward at times but he needs to defend well, clear his lines, communicate and be in the right position.
"It could have been worse in the second half!"
