Phil Thompson has assessed Manchester City's Premier League title chances ahead of their clash with Chelsea this weekend.
City currently sit third on the league standings ahead of the home clash with table-toppers Chelsea on Saturday and Liverpool great Thompson feels he knows the way Pep Guardiola's men can clinch a fifth top flight premiership (and third in the PL era).
"Manchester City's title hopes are going to come down to how many goals Sergio Aguero's supporting cast can score," Thompson analysed for Sky Sports.
"Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling's goals seem to have dried up of late but you'd assume they'll come good."
Thompson also suggests powerful midfielder Yaya Toure could have a say in how City perform for the remainder of the season.
"The return of Yaya Toure gives them another fantastic option," he added.
"He looks fresh and more energetic than he has before, which is a huge boost for them."
