Luis Suarez has been presented the European Golden Shoe award by Liverpool great Kenny Dalglish at a ceremony in Spain.
The Uruguayan striker netted 31 goals to join Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo at the top of the scorers charts in Europe last season.
Suarez, who scored the goals with Liverpool before joining Barcelona in the summer, reportedly asked for his ex-Reds manager Dalglish to be involved in the presentation because of the role he played in helping him become one of the world's best strikers.
"I want to thank all the most important people in my life, my wife and my children," said Suarez.
"And of course everyone at Liverpool - all my colleagues, not just last year but over the whole three-and-a-half years I was at the club.
"They were spectacular years and it was thanks to this man here (Dalglish) that they signed me, that they noticed me.
"Now I am moving on to a new period, and I have to enjoy this next stage of my life - it is a dream come true."
Suarez's 31 goals in 33 Premier League outings in 2013/14 took his tally for the Anfield club to 82 goals from 133 appearances in total.
