Glen Johnson says Liverpool teammate Fernando Torres never ceases to amaze him.

Torres struck two stunning goals in Sunday's win over Sunderland.

"We started well and got a nice early goal. It was a fantastic strike from Fernando and no goalkeeper would save that," Johnson told Liverpoolfc.tv.

"Fernando is a fantastic player and nothing he does surprises me. To be honest from where I was looking I thought he was going to cross the ball, but he went for it and to see it end up in the net was great.

"The goal gave us a lot of confidence. I thought we played some great football and when we play flowing football like that we feel as though we are going to score with every attack.

"Every game is like a cup final for us and we know we have got to win every game between now and the end of the season, but we believe we can do it and finish in the top four."
