Liverpool fullback Emiliano Insua admits he hopes to make Argentina's World Cup squad next year.
He told liverpoolfc.tv: "I have thought about playing for Argentina at the World Cup, but only in my dreams.
"First I think I have to play well for Liverpool. At this stage in my career and at this moment playing regularly for Liverpool at a really high level is as far ahead as I will allow myself to think.
"Every Argentinian dreams of playing for their country and I suppose that I am not any different. With my friend and teammate Javier Mascherano captaining them at the moment it would be a dream come true to play alongside him for my country."
