Liverpool fullback John Flanagan is delighted with his new contract.
Flanagan knows it will be difficult to get regular first-team football this season if Martin Kelly and Glen Johnson stay fit - but he intends to do everything he can to get the gaffer's attention.
"I just have to carry on, get back in the team and just keep producing," the right-back told Liverpoolfc.tv after penning his new long-term contract. "I could probably get involved more - get crosses in, and develop my forward play.
"I thanked Kenny and Damien for such a huge opportunity and I'm delighted."
Flanagan has gone from U18 hopeful to a recognisable Premier League footballer in the space of four months.
"It's been a change but I just take it in my stride and just carry on with it," he added. "It feels great signing autographs because it's something I used to do when I was little. I used to get Stevie's and Carragher's."
