Liverpool fullback Andrew Robertson agrees they should go for every trophy available to them.

Wednesday night sees Liverpool host fellow title-race pace-setters Chelsea in the Carabao Cup.

The Anfield giants have won that competition only once in the last 13 years, and last season Klopp sacrificed the domestic Cups as his team looked to finish in the top four and attacked the Champions League.

But Liverpool spent over £170million in the summer to strengthen their squad, and Robertson said: “Whatever competition we are in we try to win it. We have got to compete the best we can, whether that is the Champions League, the league, the League Cup or FA Cup.

“I agree with the manager that whatever competition it is we should try to do our best and see where we are at the end of the season."
