Milan Jovanovic is set to sign with Belgian club Anderlecht says his agent.
The 30-year old Serbia international experienced a difficult season with the Reds after joining from Standard Liege last summer and was subsequently released at the end of the campaign.
And Jovanovic said he was excited about the move as he and his wife are very familiar with Belgium.
"My wife adores Brussels and is pushing me to return to Belgium where I only have on offer. I am still buzzing after my meeting with Anderlecht in Qatar," he said.
"I was moved by the importance given to me by the Belgian sporting press over the past week. And that makes me think because Belgium is my second country!"
