Liverpool fitness coach Paco De Miguel admits he worked with star striker Fernando Torres when he was a junior at Atletico Madrid.

"Even at 10 or 11, he was a very good player and everyone knew he could be the player he is now," De Miguel, whose mission from Madrid to Merseyside came via a two-year spell at Valencia, told liverpoolfc.tv.

"He had more speed than the other forwards and more intelligence on the pitch, both of which are very important for strikers. He was always searching for chances and always ready to strike. He had a lot of talent."
